A mission house in Jacó, Costa Rica

Casa de Selah

A quiet place to pause, rest and be refreshed - hosted by the Yanceys for families, leaders and teams who need time away, whether to rest, retreat or serve.

About the House

Room to Rest and Be Restored

In the Psalms, Selah marks a pause, a moment to stop and remember who God is. That is our heart for this home. Whether you are looking to step away to rest, or to be refreshed by partnering in ministry and service projects, Casa de Selah is a place to be filled again.

The house sits in a quiet gated neighborhood beside Playa Hermosa, five minutes from the surf and about ten from Jacó. Rocking chairs on the porch, a pool next door and no TVs in the bedrooms make it easy to slow down, pray and reconnect.

Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with Me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
