September Mission Update
A New Season:
Hear. Grow. Pray. Join in.
A Note from Todd and Alicia,
We consider to be in a new season after our first night staying in our new construction for our family. You've been prayerful and God's been providing. This is going to open up many doors for ministry and hospitality - praise God for His faithfulness and wisdom. We'll share more below, including a big ministry celebration for our local church.
We also wanted to specifically say thank you for taking your time to read and pray through these updates. It means the world to us that you are caring for us and supporting us in whichever ways God is leading you.
HEAR
A Big Step Forward for Men in Community Following Jesus(SEE PHOTO ABOVE and BELOW)
Todd was able to assist with planning and empowering a team of local men to facilitate Horizon Church Jacó’s first-ever international men’s weekend conference. The Lord brought 150 men from six different churches across Costa Rica, which far exceeded our expectations for something we were attempting for the first time. It was amazing to see the unity among men from different cities as we worshiped, studied, prayed, and ministered to one another. We’re grateful for Pastor Daniel Barrett, who had the faith to go out on a limb and try something new. This was incredibly affirming of Todd’s heart to continue building up and empowering men in their walk with Christ. Please be praying that new discipleship groups would arise from this weekend, as well as for future relationships and partnerships with other pastors throughout Costa Rica.
EXCITING TIMES COMING: HOSTING GROUPS AND GUESTS IN THE MISSION HOUSE
Ready to book a trip to serve with us in Costa Rica? Last night we opened up two new doors(Family House and Mission House). We moved into the Family House for our first nights sleep, enabling the Mission House next door to be used to host people like you: supporters, pray-ers, ministry leaders, missionaries, families, couples, or just anyone who wants to get a close up perspective into what God is doing here in the Jaco area. Let us help you plan your itinerary here to make your trip a safe and meaningful experience. You'll be inspired in your faith as we connect you with opportunities to serve, as we'll make sure you're sleeping good and eating tasty local food. You'll fall in love with the culture and people. We also built a treehouse beside the Mission House making this a great place for families. The neighborhood pool is directly next door to our place as well(pretty nice after a long day in the tropical heat). We want all of our guests to come here for life-changing, restorative experiences. If you know someone in ministry(or a missionary who may not have the funding to visit) reach out to us because we'd love to make this trip a reality for them. We anticipate that the Mission House will be a blessing to many.

Pray
Local Discipleship & Family Milestones God is moving in many ways through our local groups and in our home. Now that we're moved into the Family House, We're excited to have even more margin to minister locally and host others.
Young Adults: This group keeps growing. We love hosting our young adults every Sunday afternoon and evening as we walk through the book of Ezekiel with the Bible Project Classroom. Some of the participants are ministry leaders, so this is a good time for them to receive and be re-filled. It's always great fellowship and feast together (we eat good).
Community Groups: Both Alicia and I are plugged into local mom and dad networks. Having genuine friends who understand the unique joys and challenges of raising a family abroad has been such a gift.
The Kiddos: Selah (3) and Judah (1) are thriving, bringing us so much joy, and picking up Spanish at their daycares. Pray for their friendships and for the gospel to be planted in their hearts even at a young age. Pray for Todd and Alicia that we would be fully present since these are times we call, "long days, short years." We are blessed.

Outreach Leaders & Upcoming Stateside Travel
Ministry is a team effort, and we invite you to lock arms with us in these specific areas:
Ministry & Outreach Leaders: Pray for the leaders we support and shepherd in our church staff and outreach ministries—that they would thrive, stay grounded in faith, maintaining clarity in their role, and growing as disciples and leaders.
Stateside Trip (Mid October): Because of final construction, our U.S. trip was delayed. We’re now planning a shortened trip to North and South Carolina to connect with supporters, share our story, and get sweet time we the parents and family.
Travel Prayer & Logistics: Flight costs have increased significantly. Please join us in praying for smooth logistics and provision for travel expenses. If you feel led to assist with travel costs or logistics, we would be incredibly grateful.

Monthly Support: We’re seeking to add 6 more partners to our monthly support team this month. We are able to live and serve here sustainably because of individuals who both pray and financially give through our missionary agency(buttons above and below). We’d love to help answer any questions or get on a call if the Lord is leading you to support the mission that is changing lives each day here in Jaco.
